ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform quality assurance and testing on both PointeCast Publisher and PointeCast Portal
- Promptly and courteously respond to customer inquiries and perform technical troubleshooting when customers need assistance
- Responsible for escalation tracking of customer problems through engineering and ensuring complete customer satisfaction
- Relay customer feedback to the development and product management teams
- Train new customers on how to use the products
- Assist in creating on-line training modules, and develop a FAQ list
- Work flexible hours and on call rotations
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong knowledge of PowerPoint
- Competent with web applications
- Ability to manage incidents from discovery to resolution
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment anticipating challenges and providing proactive solutions to meet evolving needs
- Strong process orientation with a commitment to continuous improvement
- High level of independent activity and decision-making ability

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Some College in Computer Science or related field preferred
- 2+ years with PowerPoint
- 1 year as troubleshooting PC hardware
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Ability to write reports and business correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers
REASONING ABILITY

Overview:
Looking for a highly motivated senior software engineer that can architect, design, implement new components for a java based web application. The engineer must have excellent problem solving skills and can gather business requirements and transform them into technical requirements that can then be implemented. The engineer must have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively function in a team environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Architecting/re-architecting new components of an enterprise web application for the purpose of increasing performance and scalability
- Designing, implementing and testing features of a web application servicing customers within the online training industry
- Works well within a group or individually to fulfill project requirements
- Writing design and test documentation
QUALIFICATIONS
- M.S/B.S, CS/EE or equivalent
- 5+ years of Java development (1.4, 1.5 and 1.6)

- An understanding of XML as a method of data exchange
- Ability to manipulate XML documents using XSLT
